Our story

Čechová & Partners is an independent Slovak law firm with a 34-year history. Since our establishment in 1990, we have been solving our clients’ legal issues in the areas of Slovak and European law. Our skills are reflected in our work and the satisfaction of our clients, as well as by our top ratings in numerous international and Slovak legal rankings every year.

We primarily focus on corporate clientele. Our clients are foreign companies (often multinational organisations and their subsidiaries), as well as large international law firms and local businesses. We are delighted that many of our clients return to us and seek our advice on a regular basis for many years. With some of our clients, we cooperate almost daily. With others, we work on specific individual projects.

All attorneys who work in our office are members of the Slovak Bar Association. Our lawyers have consistently been awarded high ratings by international ranking institutions as leading experts in their respective legal fields. Many of them not only enjoy recognition in both Slovakia and abroad, but also hold important posts in professional legal organisations.

1990

The partnership is founded.

2001

Čechová & Partners becomes an exclusive member of Lex Mundi in Slovakia.

2003

Opening of a temporary office in Brussels in connection with Slovakia’s accession to the EU.

2003

Čechová & Partners becomes an exclusive member of the World Services Group in Slovakia.

2007

The company expands its premises, moving to the Pressburg Trade Centre on Štúrova street.

2013

Transformation to limited liability company.

2017

The company moves to larger premises in the new UNIQ administration centre on Staromestská street.
