Starting 1 January 2025, Slovakia reintroduces representative higher-level collective bargaining agreements, a major legislative change impacting employers across industries.
These agreements will now apply universally within a sector or part of a sector, binding all employers concerned, even those not involved in the initial collective bargaining negotiations. However, certain exemptions apply (e.g., small businesses, new companies, employers in bankruptcy, etc.).
